Each year in May we challenge you to trek 80kms along the beautiful Heysen Trail. Each year in May over 300 people take up the challenge and raise considerable funds to help us prevent bowel cancer.
The JLF Trek SA in 2020 is special as it marks our 10th anniversary year.

80km – Group 1 - $275 Friday and Saturday, 15 and 16 May 2020
40km – Group 2 - $185 Saturday, 16 May 2020
20km – Group 3 - $185 Saturday, 16 May 2020
10km – Group 4 - $60 Saturday, 16 May 2020
Early bird discount code JLFEARLYBIRD valid until 30 December 2019. Discount is $20 off the 80km, 40km and 20km distances - no discount for the 10km distance.
Your entry fee includes event safety and management, fully supported checkpoints, bus transfers, hike guides, safety bibs and the finish line celebration. It is not a donation.
Entry is permitted to ages 14 and over (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times). Fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. Registrations will close on Friday 24 April 2020 unless sold out prior.
The JLF Trek will take place between Mylor and Myponga, through the beautiful Kaipto Forest and stunning Fleurieu Peninsula countryside. The event ends with our infamous finish line celebration, complete with a hearty meal, drinks and live music.

This is an endurance event, designed to challenge you physically and mentally. A medium to high level of fitness is required and with the right preparation and attitude you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
Whether you complete the full 80km – or do one day or just sections of the Trek – we know you will be challenged, inspired and extremely proud of what you have achieved.
The Friends of the Heysen Trail voluntarily build and maintain the waking trail and mark it with distinctive red arrow markers to help hikers stay on the track. These can sometimes be difficult to follow if you are not paying attention, so be prepared for some orienteering.
To provide detailed event logistics and safety information, a compulsory event briefing will be held on Thursday 14 May at 6.00pm.
You are responsible for making your own accommodation arrangements. If you would like to make a weekend of it, you might like to stay in or near McLaren Vale for the duration of the event.
We arrange coaches on both days to transport you from a central car parking location to the start line. The location of the car park and times will be advised well before the event.
Your registration fee covers part of the cost of the event, it is not a donation. We endeavour to cover the balance of the cost through the generous support of our sponsors.
Your fundraising is an essential element of The JLF Trek as it allows us to continue the important work we do to save lives. We encourage you to strive for these minimum individual fundraising goals.

THE FINE PRINT
Jodi Lee Foundation are the event organisers of The JLF Trek South Australia 2020. If we deem the route unsafe (due to but not limited to heavy rain, lightning, high winds, bushfire or ‘acts of god’) we may, at our sole discretion, re-route The JLF Trek, find an alternative shortened course, or cancel the event. If the event is cancelled, re-routed or shortened, no refund of registration fees, fundraising monies or transfer to another JLF Trek event will be made. Due to the nature of our events and the months of preparation involved, the event will not be re-scheduled to any other weekend. We also reserve the right to change the route or checkpoint locations or distances as necessary. Any changes will be communicated to participants prior to the event. Car parking will be advised closer to the event date. Entry permitted to ages 14 and over (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times).
