We are involved in this event because as well as Tricia (a team member) having gone through bowel cancer many years ago, many of our Real Time Community Projects members have or are facing cancer in some way.
Real Time Community Projects is about opening the hearts and spirit of people in the community, and all of the projects we bring, really do just that!
In fact it will be through one of our projects 'Knit a Care Square' that we will be raising funds for this cause.
We will raffling 3 blankets (in the blue colour that represents bowel cancer) that the Knit a Care Square community of volunteers have created.
These blankets come together in the most amazing way.
People from far and wide, who generally don't know each other, donate squares that are knitted, then designed and joined to form the most beautiful blankets.
They are a symbol of love and support from the whole community, so what better way to raise funds for this cause.
Thank you for your support as we embark the training and getting prepared to take on this challenge.
