This photo was taken on our last birthday together in 2013. My twin sister Tracey passed away on the 21st February 2014 having battled bowel cancer for 4 years.
How did you come to be a part of the JLF?
Dr Andrew Luck, a past JLF Board Member was Tracey’s surgeon, long story short he introduced me to Nick (Lee). Nick and I shared the same views and passion to take our loss and grief and turn it into something positive, I had a story to tell and he gave me the platform to share it. No words will ever express my gratitude, the JLF saved me. So, we began collaborating, naming the SA Trek in Tracey’s honour from 2014 – 2016, and in 2017 I ran the New York Marathon for the foundation. I am now a proud board member, so it has been quite the journey, and it’s not over yet, we still have so much to do.
