I'm taking part in this event in the name of bowel cancer prevention, in loving support of my incredible warrior husband Simon who will be in hospital recovering from surgery when I cross the finish line.
I walk in respect and support of another treasured human, Wes Touzel - also a BC warrior, successfully fighting this hateful, insidious disease.
And I very much walk in support of, and solidarity with, the Research4Riney crew, and their beautiful Catherine who continues to light the way for us all. I want to shout her campaign messaging around awareness and prevention from the rooftops, and this seems like a good place to start.
I'm SO grateful to my 4 beautiful girlfriends who are walking alongside me; an example of lovely, true serendipity bringing us together.
Thank you for donating and helping the Jodi Lee Foundation continue their important work, which means so much to Simon, Tom, Isla and me.
