I'm taking part in this event in the name of bowel cancer prevention and to offer my 100% support to our daughter Jaymee Goldsmith who in January this year was diagnosed with stage 3 Colorectal cancer.
Since this diagnosis and without fuss or fanfare, Jaymee has undergone Major surgery, Radiation and will be on her second round or Chemotherapy whilst undertaking the Trek. (Yeah I know)
Throughout this battle Jaymee has been ably supported by her husband Tim, son Max, family, friends, in laws, workmates, etc.
I figure if Jaymee can conquer all of this and still go out and Trek 27 km's, I sure as hell can Trek 10 km's to offer my support.
