I'm taking part in this event in the name of bowel cancer prevention and to raise essential funds for the Jodi Lee Foundation and to support our friend Jaymee.

From Jaymee:

I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in January this year and have since undergone major surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. I am still in active treatment and should finish up in October.

I am hoping to raise awareness for bowel cancer and to help people understand that it is no longer an “older” persons disease. I want people to get checked before it’s too late in the hope other people don’t have to experience the treatment I’ve had to endure.

I’d also like to make my family and friends proud and to prove to myself that cancer can’t take everything away from me - including my resilience and determination! I would love my 2 year old son to grow up with these values so I plan to live by them.
