I’m taking part in this event to raise awareness about preventing and early detection of bowel cancer, a disease that impacts thousands of Australians every year.

Although my commitment to complete this hike will pale in comparison to the strain Cancer has on the everyday life of those who suffer with it, I still hope that by completing this and pushing myself physically and mentally, I can honor those that have had their lives impacted by Cancer and their loved ones that support them daily on their own journeys.
