I’m taking part in this event to raise awareness that bowel cancer is not an older persons disease. My son, Luke ❤️ had just turned 26 years three weeks prior to being diagnosed with a rare form of bowel cancer (BRAF mutation) which occurs in only 4% of bowel cancer sufferers. He had the world at his feet!
No parent should have to feel the absolute helplessness of watching their child succumb to this horrid disease.
So every step I take in October is to help in the prevention of bowel cancer. Hopefully one day others will not have to walk the same path.
