The 2020 New York Marathon will be the race’s 50th anniversary.

With 52,705 finishers in 2019, the TCS New York City Marathon is the largest annual marathon in the world. Starting on Staten Island and finishing in Central Park, the course runs through each of the five boroughs: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan.

Held annually on the first Sunday of November, The TCS New York City Marathon is the pre-eminent event of the New York Road Runners (NYRR), with participants ranging from the world’s top professional athletes to runners of all ages and abilities. The amazing atmosphere created by your fellow runners and more than one million spectators who line the city’s streets in support will inspire you as you make your way through the iconic New York City.
