In January 2014, my daughter Maggie started school with Harlow. One month later, in February 2014, we all witnessed a darling little girl lose her Mother, to bowel cancer. Since then, we have watched Harlow grow into a delightful, nearly 7 year old and be surrounded by an amazingly strong and loving Father, Aunt and extended family. I believe that in supporting the JLF we are also showing our support for Harlow and her family and all that they have endured.
In 2017 I have pledged to run the New York Marathon in honour of Harlow's Mum, Tracey and to raise funds for the Jodi Lee Foundation, as they continue their battle against Bowel Cancer. I am running because I am fortunate enough to be able to witness my daughters grow up and I want them to see that there is always something you can do to help, no matter how small it may seem.
Running the New York Marathon has always been on my 'to do list' and to be able to do it for a cause that I truely support is a privilege that will hopefully make the many hours of training ahead a little more bearable!
