I live in Coffs Harbour and work as a Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) practitioner and Remedial Massage therapist at Coffs Coast Sports Physiotherapy. For those who aren’t familiar with TCM it involves the use of various techniques including acupuncture, electro therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, as well as dietary and lifestyle advice to restore health. Ok, so I know my massage hands will be called on most during the ride but I also hope the cyclists will allow me to use my TCM knowledge to help support them and their weary bodies along the way.I was part of the support crew for the first Jodi Lee Foundation charity ride from Melbourne to Adelaide in 2011 and it was an inspiring and bonding experience so I am really excited to be a part of The Jodi Lee Foundation Little Black Dress Classic again this year. For me it’s all about the people. The people personally affected by the tragic loss of Jodi Lee, the organisers, the riders, the sponsors, the donors, the people you meet and get to know along the way but most of all the people who will be spared the same tragic fate as Jodi and her loved ones.If you are able, please give generously to this worthy cause, because no matter how small or large your contribution, together we really can help raise awareness of the need for timely testing and the early detection of bowel cancer. It will save lives.
