The Little Black Dress Classic is on again! For me this is round 2, and I know it’s going to be a tough one… After tackling 2013’s ride as a total rookie, I have and a little more experience on the bike and a little more awareness of the physical and mental challenges ahead of us but I’m not sure if that is a good thing.
However, those of you who know me well enough would already know that my arm is easily twisted when it comes to partaking in a physical challenge and I figure, the bigger the challenge the more we can inspire and promote the sole purpose of The Jodi Lee Foundation.
I would be lying if I said that the distance, the pain in my backside/legs/everywhere, the fear of falling off my bike (again) has not made me slightly nervous. However, what I didn’t know before becoming involved with The Jodi Lee Foundation was that 1 in 12 people in Australia will develop bowel cancer at some stage in their lives.
BUT here is the good news, if this cancer is detected and treated early, there is a huge chance of survival - 90% chance in fact – and that makes any pain in my backside (pun intended) seem so worth it!

How can you detect it early? Simple… grab yourself a screening kit from your local pharmacy or order one online here through the Jodi Lee Foundation.
By being involved in the Little Black Dress Classic, we have the opportunity to touch hundreds and thousands of lives throughout Australia and abroad by promoting awareness of this deadly killer (bowel cancer).
Through educating on ways to maintain healthy bowels in our daily lives and the importance of taking a simple and easy prescreening test we can change the future of your health.
All I ask is that people is to throw me a bit of their beer money, chip into their shoe addiction fund, or just click on the DONATE link, close your eyes and think of the next biggest number that comes to mind and donate to The Jodi Lee Foundation. Thank you, your support will make a difference.
