Hi everyone!

This year I’m participating in the Jodi Lee Foundation Trek 2022, to raise money and awareness for bowel cancer. I’ll be trekking 55km over 21 & 22nd of October, along the eastern section of the Great Ocean Walk.

This fundraiser is very close to my heart, as I lost my Grandad to stage four bowel cancer in January this year. Poppy fought his bloody heart out for five years, prevailed through every major surgery, every risky trial, chemotherapy and through his own personal battles. Despite all this, he still managed to keep the best garden on the block, feed the chooks everyday and never said no to a Guinness or five with the fam. Although we have endured a lot of loss, he continues to be our idol and my best friend.

99% of bowel cancer cases can be successfully treated, or even prevented in some instances. Look after your health, be aware of your family history, know the symptoms and take a screening test early.
This fundraiser is to raise awareness and spread the love for ol’ Neville. Better yet, this event falls over his birthday weekend, so I promised I’d have a filthy beer for him at the end.
