I'm back again for my sixth JLF Trek to raise funds for the Jodi Lee Foundation.
As always I'm hiking in memory of my Dad Ross Sawley who died of bowel cancer at just 47 years old and my father-in-law Brian who battled bowel cancer twice, first at age 65 and again at 85 when it took his life.
Our family friend Rosalie was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2019, she showed incredible strength as she underwent treatment and sadly she passed away in late 2020 and is missed very much. So when the trek gets tough this year I will be thinking of Rosalie and be inspired by her strength and remembering her smile through all the challenges.
I appreciate any donations that you can make, and hope that all my family and friends take the time to talk to their doctor about any family history or symptoms of bowel cancer. Take the test, it might just save your life.
