3 MUM'S WHO ARE SET TO TAKE ON A CHALLENGE IN 2018 ! XXX

To all our wonderful family, friends and colleagues
For us 3 mum’s, TEAM R.A.L. Rebecca Holman, Anna Condo and Linda Jarmer 2018 is the year that we wanted to set some goals…….. both physically and mentally. A few years back we were all so overwhelmed by the heroic Carey and Diamond Family and the very brave Tracy Diamond who lost her battle to Bowel Cancer.

In 2016 we attended a lunch at Jarmer’s kitchen to raise awareness for Bowel Cancer. We were very fortunate to hear the very brave Tania Carey (Tracy’s twin sister) talk about Tracy and her battle. During her speech she read the final text message that Tracy had sent her, stating that she saw a lady running and that it was such a privilege in life to be healthy and active.

Life is busy, and the one thing most of us take for granted is our and our ability to be healthy and active. We ignore our body, we dread going to the doctors and exercise is the first thing most of us give to fit in more.
So for us, team R.A.L the Jodi Lee 80km trek is about, getting fit, being active, setting goals, showing our children that you can do anything, raising money and awareness to a disease that is second most common cause of cancer-related death in Australia, after lung cancer. BUT …… If detected early, up to 90% of bowel cancers can be successfully treated.

So to all our family, friends and colleagues we ask you to kindly donate to our team, but also once you’ve donated go for walk, a run, do 50 star jumps, go to a chemist and get a bowel cancer kit and get tested. Tell at least one person to do the same. Set a least one goal for 2018. Go outside look up to the sky and be thankful that you had yesterday, you’ve got today and you’ll have tomorrow.
