After being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2011 my friend Denice convinced me to take part in the first JLF trek in the Flinders Ranges and we have done it each year since (In 2017 we went interstate to join the Victorian one as I was oversea for the SA trek). We have used the Trek as a reminder to our friends, family and community of the importance of early detection and regular screening. I look forward to seeing everyone at this years event.
