Hi, my name is Darren and I am 49 yrs old. I am married and have two beautiful daughters.
I am walking the JLF trek as Bowel Cancer has touched my family; firstly with my Mum in her late 30's. This had a happy ending as she just happened to work in a Dr's surgery at the time and an amazing Dr asked her to come into his office as she was looking pale. In my Mum's case she detected it early and surgery saved her life. Unfortunately my Uncle (Mum's brother) had a sad ending as he at also a young age passed away to Bowel Cancer. Awareness is everything with this disease and so I am hoping that by raising well needed funds we can help!!
