I am a mother of two and wife of a husband who has had his own battle with cancer. I work as a registered nurse In a surgical department therefore I am very aware of the physical, emotional and psychological effects this dreadful disease has on the patient and their loved ones. By doing this walk I hope to raise awareness of the importance of bowel screening in early detection of bowel cancer. I'm looking forward to challenging myself to complete the walk with my great friends who inspired me to do this walk in the first place and have fun along the way.
