With a passion for walking, talking, the Flinders Ranges and a good cause, The Tush Trekkers are strapping up their boots for The JLF Trek to support The Jodi Lee Foundation.
We each have experienced the loss of someone special to cancer and those wonderful people will inspire us as we trek and climb 80km through the beautiful Southern Flinders over two days on May 20 and 21.
The Jodi Lee Foundation – established in memory of the vibrant 39-year-old who lost her battle with bowel cancer in 2010 - does an amazing job raising money for bowel cancer prevention.
In addition to helping the Foundation reach its $300,000 target this year, this hike enables Karen, Jane, Leanne and Vicki to be part of a rewarding and worthy physical challenge while indulging our passion for the outdoors.
It’s also a chance for four busy women to pause and reflect on how fortunate we are to be part of this endeavour and to truly value every day and every experience. With plenty of training walks proposed (not all ending at the Scenic Hotel) we may even get fit along the way!
