The reason we are taking part in this event is because Jodi’s story really hits home.
My wife and I are 54 years old and at the tail end of raising five children. The vulnerability we had during this period if exposed to such a tragedy would have had an enormous impact on our lives.

So apart from the opportunity of hiking in an area we would not otherwise be able to do, the chance of doing something worthwhile and enjoying a great activity was too good to miss.
