I am proud to be the Chair of The Jodi Lee Foundation's Board, a position which has had a direct impact on my life and that of my family.
My brother Sam screened for bowel cancer before taking part in a Jodi Lee Foundation event, resulting in a large polyp being detected … his doctor said it would have become cancerous within a few years.
More recently I have been struck by the news that my aunt has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. Unfortunately hers wasn’t detected early, and she is now undergoing treatment.
With the realisation I have a family history of bowel cancer, I now have to take extra precautions to ensure I remain free of this preventable disease. As they say, knowledge is power.

I am joining the Foundation for the first time on their award winning event The JLF Trek and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
