Father and daughter team.
Georgie and I were looking for an event we could do together, and this is a challenge that has real meaning for us.
I had a battle with cancer in 2001 losing a kidney, and we have since lost Georgie's Grandad to Bladder Cancer. Georgie's grandmother has also battled Bowel Cancer in recent years.
The event has given us training goals to strive for, and hopefully we can build our fitness (and I can drop a few pounds) together, whilst fundraising for a worthwhile cause.
The other benefit is that walking 80 km's together, my 16 year old daughter will have no choice but to talk to me.
