After being inspired by the efforts of friend Justin Hotton in the Little Black Dress ride from Canberra to Melbourne in 2012, and having a father suffer from (prostate) cancer, I am honoured to support the Jodi Lee Foundation at the NYC Marathon.
Raising awareness for the early detection of bowel cancer can only save many lives and indirectly I can continue to honour my father who suffered from another form of cancer.
After running 6 marathons, the first in 1998, the last few years I have turned my focus to triathlon and specifically Ironman, which includes its own unique marathon run.

Triathlon was almost by accident after a knee operation required a long rehab on the bike – and later when the knee was strong enough running returned but the riding continued – so triathlon became possible.
However, I am looking forward to returning to marathon running in the biggest race of all, achieving another personal goal, whilst supporting the Jodi Lee Foundation.
I am married to Sharon and have two beautiful children, Brandon 10 and Nikki 8.
