My name is Meg Molenaar. I am 41 years old. I have been married to my husband Sven for 15 years and we have a wonderful little 4 year old called Dane.
I got serious about running at my 40th Birthday party when my friend asked me if I wanted to join the local running group.
I went along with the attitude of "now I'm 40 I can do anything". Pride alone got me through the first session but I have never looked back.
Running half marathons last year and ready to take on the challenge of my first marathon

I met Nick last year when my company Accolade Wines took part in the Corporate Screening Program.
I am a very strong believer in early detection tests for any cancer but I was particularly moved by Nick's story and saw the opportunity to run the New York Marathon as a way of spreading the word on the importance of this test and marking two items off my bucket list - to run a Marathon and go to New York.
I hope to raise money to continue the amazing work that The Jodi Lee Foundation does and seek your support.
