Early detection saved my life!
I live in Coffs Harbour, studying nursing and have decided to join The Little Black Dress Classic today with only 2 weeks until we leave.
I am a novice rider but have lots of determination and a willingness to give it a go.
I lost my father to bowel cancer when he was 41years young and through early detection I was diagnosed at 36 and with treatment have since recovered fully.
I am passionate about talking about bowel cancer, educating people about the signs, symptoms and risk factors. There is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about.
Talk to your Dr, get a test kit from the pharmacy and encourage your friends and family to do the same.
I am riding (well attempting to anyway) for my dad and to encourage everyone out there to get screened.
