I have been a Jodi Lee Foundation Ambassador for the last 4 years. I have experienced first-hand the impact bowel cancer can have on families after my uncle was diagnosed and managed to beat the disease in 2014. His experience inspired me to become an Ambassador.

On the back of my support with the 2017 AFL Awareness Campaign a member of my extended family acted on the advice myself and other players were talking about to take a simple screening test.

Following a colonoscopy, the family member was diagnosed with early stage bowel cancer. Two operations later, we received the good news that he has been given the all clear. Thanks to the campaign to raise awareness about screening and importance of early detection when it comes to bowel cancer, the outcome was a positive one.

The partnership between the Carlton Football Club and the Jodi Lee Foundation is saving lives. Early detection is key.

I am calling on footy fans and supporters far and wide to help me give bowel cancer the boot and donate to my fundraising campaign to support the Jodi Lee Foundation.
