Join Jodi Lee Foundation and Advertiser Inspirational Woman of the Year Kellie Finlayson (Gardner), for the ultimate Girls Night Out at the premier of the hotly anticipated movie of the year, Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, to help raise funds and awareness for bowel cancer prevention.
Each ticket holder will be welcomed with a complimentary drink on arrival plus the chance to win plenty of lucky door prizes and automatic entry into the major Girls’ Movie Night prize.
Proceeds of this event will go towards the Jodi Lee Foundation, raising awareness for the prevention and early detection of bowel cancer, which is now the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in people aged 25-34.
Kellie Finlayson (nee Gardner) was a high school mathematics teacher, partner of Jeremy Finlayson (Port Adelaide AFL player) and mother to 3-month-old Sophia when her whole world was turned upside down at age 25 after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer.
The cancer has sadly metastasized to the lungs and Kellie is undergoing a number of treatments, but she continues to have an inspiringly positive outlook and tries to enjoy her life as best she can, focusing on the here and now.
Kellie is now on a mission to raise awareness of bowel cancer and the fact it can impact anyone at any age. She encourages people to trust their gut and go to the doctor if something is not right.
