12 months ago my alarm went off at 5am in the morning, I put on my running shoes and headed to my first session of His And Her Time.  I drove there with a little apprehension, wondering (amidst the yawns) what crazy desire had got me out of bed at that time of the morning!  When I got there, I found myself surrounded by a group of motivated and inspiring people - people who had caught the "bug" that is personal trainer Anna Liptak. Anna's passion and dedication is truly amazing. She always promises "this is the last rep/kilometre" and yet there is always One More!!!  New York is the one more for me!  My first Marathon. This is an enormous personal challenge, something that I honestly never even imagined I would do.  But I feel incredibly fortunate because not only do I have Anna behind me, but I will be running every step of the way with a team of amazing, determined people, who are all running for a very worthwhile cause - promoting awareness of the early detection of bowel cancer and raising funds for The Jodi Lee Foundation.I first became involved with The Jodi Lee Foundation after hearing about Jodi Lee's battle with bowel cancer.  Her story touched me.  Like so many other families, my family has also been affected by cancer, and I am proud to watch my Nanna battle her illness everyday with such determination.  So I was truly honoured and humbled when I was invited last year to be a part of the Jodi Lee team running the New York Marathon. I'm incredibly excited, and just can't wait until 3rd November 2013 when I run my first marathon alongside my fantastic His and Her time team-mates, all wearing our Little Black TuTus with pride!I thank you for all your support.
