In October last year I ran the Melbourne ½ marathon with an inspiring group of girlfriends who have motivated me to attempt the New York Marathon this year in support of the The Jodi Lee Foundation with the His & Her time team. Whilst this trip means a lot of running which without a doubt will be a challenge, I hope in the process to raise awareness about Bowel Cancer and help The Jodi Lee Foundation to spread the message that early detection can save your life. In 2010 my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer which possibly could have been prevented had he performed an early detection bowel screening test.  Despite his diagnosis I was unaware that polyps can, and in time probably will lead to cancer, and it has only been becoming involved in The Jodi Lee Foundation that I have realized how preventable Bowel Cancer really is!If you are able to sponsor me it would be very much appreciated, all money donated will go directly to The Jodi Lee Foundation and every cent helps to spread the early detection message.  I very much appreciate your support.Bowel cancer is the second largest cause of cancer-related deaths in Australia.  It can be detected with a simple home test, so if you are over 40, PLEASE go to the chemist and buy a test kit, it may just save your life. Jo x
