I began my running journey after the birth of my third daughter, seven years ago. It was under the guidance of Anna Liptak that I completed the City to Bay some months later. At the post event celebrations,my wonderful friend N'Tonya, Anna and myself discussed our goals in life and fitness. We made a pact that we would run the New York Marathon before our 40th Birthdays.Although life bought me to Melbourne five years ago, our goal was never forgotten.In 2013 alongside these inspiring women, and my wonderful partner Tony, I am running the New York Marathon for The Jodie Lee Foundation, raising awareness of the importance of bowel screening in the fight against bowel cancer. The disease took the life of my Nanna who, along with my three beautiful daughters will be in my thoughts as I cross the line in New York.Thank you so much for your generous support.
